Just like your computer and mobile devices, Xfinity systems go through software updates from time to time. These updates may fix any internal problems or add new features to your modem.
You can’t do anything about it while it’s happening. You will need to wait for the update to complete as it is required for your modem to function smoothly. After that, it only takes a few minutes. But if it takes longer than that, there may be a different problem at hand.
